Pet Boarding
Mandarin Animal Hospital believes that when you travel for pleasure or business that you shouldn’t have to worry if your pets are in safe hands. Your neighbor or the teenager down the street may be kindhearted and responsible, but they often lack experience or an in-depth understanding of your pet’s health needs and idiosyncratic nature.
This is why we offer your pet a safe and welcoming place to stay at our hospital’s climate controlled indoor pet boarding veterinary facility in Jacksonville. Our dog/cat kennel staff, all of whom have many years of experience in providing care for our boarding pets, will ensure your dog is exercised three times per day or more if you like. We will also be sure to provide your pet with any necessary medications as well as routine checks by our medical staff. For those who are seeking accommodations for their cats, we have a separate area for felines so they can have a quiet place to nap and enjoy their stay with us.
We feed our guests Hill’s Science Diet, but also allow owners to supply their pet’s food from home with specific feeding instructions. We also allow our clients to bring a special toy or personal item from home so their pet is more comfortable during their stay.
We ask you to make a reservation, especially prior to holidays, and require all pets be free of internal and external parasites and to be up-to-date with their vaccinations. For dogs this includes Rabies, DA2PP, and Bordetella. Cats must have Rabies and FVRCP.

If a boarding animal requires medications we do charge $5 per day for administration.
Additionally, for a modest fee we can provide your dog with a bath and brush-out on the day you are coming to pick him or her up. Please ask for more details about our available grooming services.

Keep Your Pet Looking Good and Smelling Great
Proper grooming is essential for keeping your pet comfortable and ensuring its skin and fur are healthy. So why not let Mandarin Animal Hospital's grooming salon provide your pet with some healthy pampering?
Because we believe grooming is important to your pet's health, we take it very seriously, but that doesn't mean it shouldn't be fun or feel good. Our groomer uses the latest products, technology and equipment to ensure that your pet emerges from his or her appointment feeling and looking great.
Ashlyn, our staff groomer, is highly experienced in a wide range of grooming techniques, including breed-specific scissor cuts and hand strip grooming. She also grooms cats.
We also offer grooming consultations with our highly trained and experienced stylist prior to your pet's appointment to review your pet's grooming needs.
Basic service packages include teeth brushing, medicated shampoo if indicated, hypo-allergenic flea and tick shampoo if indicated, ear cleansing and plucking, paw pad treatments, and more.
Grooming services are offered Tuesday, Thursday and Friday during normal hospital hours. Our grooming salon will work to accommodate your busy schedule by trying to schedule your pet's grooming appointment on the same day as your veterinary appointment. Make sure to schedule your appointment as soon as possible in order to get your preferred time and date.
As a safety measure for all of our pets, we also require proof of vaccinations.
